◊Hair Extension

There are lots of ways to artificially lengthening and thickening your hair and if you’re looking for a more permanent alternative to the conventional wig, then hair extensions might be the answer! The market is full of different systems or types of hair extensions and your stylist will tell you that the system he or she uses is the best. Yet each uses a different type of extension system so how do we know which one is the best and why? The reality is that they are all good when used on the right hair type to achieve a certain result. But, if you decide on the wrong type of hair or use an unsuitable method of attaching that extension then not only will you not achieve the look you were after but you could also end up with serious damage to your hair.

◊ Lavish Lashes

Lavish Lashes is proud to have been the FIRST lash extension company requiring hands on training by Certified Instructors in order to purchase eyelash extension products and provide this service. At this time there are only two companies in the United States with this training requirement . In addition, Beauty Industry Professionals are required to submit proof of their professional credentials before receiving our products. We feel very strongly that any company that is truly concerned with consumer safety must insist on these two requirements.

The lash extension procedure requires the use of a lash extension adhesive, adhesive remover, fine point tweezers and a synthetic eyelash (among other items).  In some cases, Lash Extension Adhesives, and Adhesive Removers can be a skin, eye and mucous membrane irritant.  There are no known Adhesives or Adhesive Removers that are 100% safe for contact with the surface of the eye. Such foreign substances whether “Medical Grade”, “U.S.P” or “U.S. Pharmaceutical Grade- Class IV”, must be flushed out immediately with a copious amount of water if contact is made in the eye area and medical attention sought immediately. This is why an eye irrigation solution is required in all Lavish Lashes kits that are sold to the Professional. Additionally we require Lavish Lashes Professionals to advise their clients that contact lenses must be removed prior to the procedure, so as to not obstruct the irrigation process if needed. To ensure the utmost safety for Lavish Lashes customers, we train our Lavish Lashes Professionals to:

  • Sanitize their hands, workspace and all tools.
  • Require that contact lenses be removed prior to the procedure.
  • Properly cover and protect the eye area.
  • Properly use fine point tweezers.
  • Use the proper amount and correct application of adhesive so as to avoid lashes clumping together and potentially falling out in clumps due to improper application.
  • Choose the right size lash extension so as to avoid over burdening the natural lash.
  • Properly remove lash extensions so that the natural eyelash is not removed along with the lash extension.
  • Look for and correct misapplied lash extensions.
  • Properly clean and care for lash extensions.
